About Munchy Play

Munchy Play® is the founder of the first-ever kids' plate with a built-in track for toy cars and trains, made exclusively in the UK. It was named the 'Best Children's Gift' in the Mail Online, and one of the most promising start-ups of 2021 in The Sunday Times.

Designed by a mum, Munchy Play launched in 2020, and has since been named one of the "Most promising start-up's of 2021" by Emma Jones MBE. We have also featured across a wide number of parent blog and social media sites, including Joe Wicks own Instagram account @weanin15_

That’s not all, our innovative design has also earnt us a 'Women in Innovation Network' Award, as well as being named finalists in the Junior Design Awards 2020/2021, finalist in the Progressive Preschool Awards 2021, and the Great British Entrepeneur Awards.

Made by a mum, the parent hack invites little ones to the table, and helps to keep them there. This includes our new Thomas & Friends™ collection, as well as the original car racing Vroom-Vroom plate - proudly made in Britain.

With young diners in mind, our kids' plates are designed for toddlers and infants. There’s high-sides and a non-slip base for independent feeding, and a built-in track compatible with leading toy trains, cars, and figurines.

Made from polypropylene, plates are easy-to-clean and stack, and are UKCA certified. They are also free of; BPA, PVC, and melamine.

How it began...

"It was another typical day in the life of being a parent, when my fussy eater toddler was having a mealtime meltdown. Reaching out for his favourite toy train, I fashioned a track around his kids' bowl and that's where it all began. Inspired by its success, I set out to create the first kids’ plate with a built-in track, that would excite children about dining."

Supporting UK industry, our kids' plates are proudly made in Britain and carry the UKCA stamp of approval. We are committed to zero-single use plastic, and use food-safe materials that are free of toxins. Furthermore, our tableware
and cardboard packaging can both be recycled.
